PUBLIC DISPLAY EXERCISE ON EIA REPORT OF THE PROPOSED SOLAR HYBRID PROJECT AT FUAM, ADAMAWA STATE, FUHSA, BAUCHI STATE, UNIJOS, PLATEAU STATE AND FUTMINNA, NIGER STATE BY RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AGENCY (REA).
In accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act CAP E12 LFN 2004, which makes it mandatory for proponents of all new major developmental activities to carry out EIA for their proposed projects, the Federal Ministry of Environment hereby announces twenty–one (21) working days public display for the draft ESIA report submitted by Rural Electrification Agency (REA).

Draft ESIA Report – FUTMINNA -Niger
The proposed development entails the construction and installation of a ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant integrated with a lithium-ion battery energy storage system to ensure power reliability and load balancing located within the institutional boundaries of the Federal University of Agriculture Mubi (FUAM), Adamawa State, Federal University of Health Sciences Azare (FUHSA), Bauchi State, University of Jos (UNIJOS), Plateau State and Federal University of Technology Minna (FUTMINNA), Niger State.The system will include PV modules, inverters, transformers, battery banks, mounting structures, internal distribution networks, and balance-of-system components necessary for efficient power generation and evacuation.
