FEDERAL MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT
PUBLIC DISPLAY EXERCISE ON THE ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL MANAGEMENT PLAN (ESMP) FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS (LPG) PLANT IN DUTSE, DUTSE LOCAL GOVERNMENT, JIGAWA STATE BY SHAKKATO NIGERIA LIMITED.
In accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act CAP E12 LFN 2004, which makes it mandatory for proponents of all new major developmental activities to carry out EIA for their proposed projects, the Federal Ministry of Environment hereby announces twenty–one (21) working days public display for information and comments on the draft ESMP report submitted by Shakkato Nigeria Limited.
JIGAWA DRAFT ESIA-LPG PLANT SHAKKATO
The proposed project entails the development of a 30 metric tons modern, fully integrated Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Storage and Refilling Plant along Ibrahim Aliyu bypass Road in Dutse Local Government Area, Jigawa State. The facility will be equipped with eight (8) electronically controlled refilling units capable of dispensing LPG into cylinders ranging from 6 kg to 35 kg for household and commercial purposes, as well as larger cylinders for industrial applications.
