PUBLIC DISPLAY EXERCISE ON THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (EIA) FOR THE PROPOSED 2.5 MMSCFD COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS (CNG) PLNT AT IKOT OBIO OFFIONG, IBESIKPO ASUTAN LGA, AKWA IBOM STATE BY AFRICENERGY AND INFRASTRUCTURE LIMITED.
In accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act CAP E12 LFN 2004, which makes it mandatory for proponents of all new major developmental activities to carry out EIA for their proposed projects, the Federal Ministry of Environment hereby announces twenty–one (21) working days public display for the draft EMP report submitted by Africenergy and Infrastructure Limited

The proposed project entails the construction and operation of a 2.5 Million Standard Cubic Feet per Day (MMSCFD) Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Mother Station on a land take of 2.5 hectares at Ikot Obio Offiong Community, Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The facility will receive wet natural gas from the Savanna pipeline via an existing 8-inch lean gas header operating at approximately 250 bar, process it through compression, dehydration, and storage systems, and dispense CNG at 3,260–3,600 psig to daughter station tube trailers and industrial consumers. The plant has a design life of 25 years.
