FEDERAL MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT
PUBLIC DISCLOSURE OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL MANAGEMENT PLAN (ESMP) FOR THE PROPOSED BACKLOG MAINTENANCE/REHABILITATION, PHASE 1 OF (11NOS – 85.68KM) ACROSS SEVEN LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS OF KOGI STATE BY KOGI STATE RURAL ACCESS AND AGRICULTURAL MARKETING PROJECT (KG– RAAMP).
In accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act Cap E12 LFN 2004, which makes it mandatory for proponents of all new major development activities to carry out Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of their proposed projects, the Federal Ministry of Environment hereby announces a twenty–one (21) working days Public disclosure for information and comments on the Environmental and Social Management Plan Document submitted by Kogi Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (KG – RAAMP). Project Description
This proposed project entails site preparation, road rehabilitation, construction of culverts and ancillary works for the backlog maintenance of 11 rural roads totaling 85.68km under the Phase 1 work package across Adavi, Kabba – Bunu, Mopa Amuro, Dekina, Olamaboro, Igalamela/Odolu and Idah Local Government Areas of Kogi State. The Disclosure Centers Are:
- Affected 7 Local Government Councils, Kogi State.
- Kogi State Ministry of Environment and Ecological Management, Lokoja, Kogi State;
- Federal Ministry of Environment Office, Lokoja, Kogi State;
- Federal Ministry of Environment, Environment House (Brown Building), Independence Way, Central Business District, Abuja-FCT.

Date: 19th September, 2024 to 18th October, 2024 Time: 8:00am – 4:00pm Daily.
