PUBLIC DISPLAY OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR THE PROPOSED NOPL – INDORAMA GAS PIPELINE TIE-IN PROJECT IN OYIGBO LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA, RIVERS STATE BY TOTAL E&P NIGERIA LIMITED.
In accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act Cap E12 LFN 2004, which makes it mandatory for proponents of all new major development activities to carry out Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of their proposed projects, the Federal Ministry of Environment hereby announces a twenty–one (21) working days Public disclosure for information and comments on the Environmental Impact Assessment Document submitted by Total E&P Nigeria Limited.

Brief Project Description:
The proposed project involves a tie-in to an existing TEPNG 24″ x 50Km carbon steel NOPL=OWAZA gas supply line at KP -35.5 location which is at a mid-point on the NOPL pipeline running between TEPNG facility in OWAZA, Abia State and Rumuji Gas plant in Rivers State. The tie-in to be done at KP- 35.5 is to link an 18″ x 83Km carbon steel pipeline buit by Indorama Eleme Fertiizer & Chemical Limited (IEFCL).
