PUBLIC DISPLAY EXERCISE ON EIA OF THE PROPOSED SOLAR HYBRID PROJECT AT FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND MEDICAL SCIENCES, ABEOKUTA (FUMMSA), ODEDA AND OBAFEMI OWODE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS, OGUN STATE STATE BY RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AGENCY (REA).
In accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act CAP E12 LFN 2004, which makes it mandatory for proponents of all new major developmental activities to carry out EIA for their proposed projects, the Federal Ministry of Environment hereby announces twenty–one (21) working days public display for the draft ESIA report submitted by Rural Electrification Agency (REA).
Draft FUMMSA ESIA Report for Proposed Solar Hybrid Project August 2026
The proposed project shall involve the construction of a 1.2 MWp (DC) /1.0 MW (AC) solar-hybrid photovoltaic power plant with lithium-ion battery energy storage on a 10.086-acre site at the permanent site of the Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Abeokuta (FUMMSA), by the Kemta Oluwo-Abeokuta-Ajebo Road junction, Odeda and Obafemi Owode Local Government Areas, Ogun State.
