PUBLIC DISPLAY EXERCISE ON THE ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (ESIA) DRAFT REPORT FOR THE PROPOSED COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS (CNG) MOTHER STATION PROJECTS AT KWALI AND GWAGWALADA AREA COUNCILS OF THE FCT, CHIKUN AND IGABI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS OF KADUNA STATE AND BEBEJI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF KANO STATE BY GREENVILLE LNG LIMITED.
In accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act CAP E12 LFN 2004, which makes it mandatory for proponents of all new major developmental activities to carry out EIA for their proposed projects, the Federal Ministry of Environment hereby announces twenty–one (21) working days public display for information and comments on the draft ESIA report submitted by Greenville LNG Limited.

The proposed project shall involve the establishment of a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Mother Station Project with a design flowrate of 5000Nm3/h and an inlet gas pressure ranging from 5 to 6 MPa on a 10Ha of land across Abuja-FCT (2 Sites), Kaduna (2 Sites) and Kano States. The gas will be sourced from the AKK (Abuja – Kaduna – Kano) pipeline.. The facility shall have the following components:
- Gas Receiving Unit (GRU): Receives natural gas from an upstream pipeline or gas supplier.
- Compression System: High-pressure compressors that raise gas pressure to CNG standards (typically 200–250 bar).
- Cascade Storage System: High-pressure storage cylinders arranged in banks for efficient loading and unloading.
- Control Room & SCADA System: For monitoring pressure, flow, safety systems, and operational parameters.
- Fire & Safety Infrastructure
