FEDERAL MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT
PUBLIC DISCLOSURE OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL MANAGEMENT PLAN (ESMP) FOR ADDITIONAL FINANCING FOR 11 STATES AND 112 FEDERAL UNITIY COLLEGES AS WELL AS REHABILITATION/RENOVATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF SCHOOLS ACROSS LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS OF PLATEAU, KATSINA, BORNO AND KANO STATES BY ADOLESCENT GIRLS INITIATIVE FOR LEARNING AND EMPOWERMENT (AGILE) PROJECT.
In accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act Cap E12 LFN 2004, which makes it mandatory for proponents of all new major development activities to carry out Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of their proposed projects, the Federal Ministry of Environment hereby announces a twenty–one (21) working days Public disclosure for information and comments on the Environmental and Social Management Plan Document submitted by Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) Project.
The Disclosure Centers Are:
- LGAs of affected States.
- Affected State’s Ministry of Environment Offices;
- Federal Ministry of Environment Offices, at the affected States;
- Federal Ministry of Environment, Environment House (Brown Building), Independence Way, Central Business District, Abuja-FCT.
Project Description:
This proposed intervention involves the rehabilitation/renovation of dilapidated structures, small scale construction of new structures and facilities, supply and equipping of educational facilities for selected Secondary schools drawn from affected Local Government Areas of the State.
