PUBLIC DISCLOSURE EXERCISE OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK (ESMF), ENVIRONMENTAL & SOCIAL COMMITMENT PLAN (ESCP), RESETTLEMENT POLICY FRAMEWORK (RPF), STAKEHOLDERS ENGAGEMENT PLAN (SEP), LABOUR MANAGEMENT PROCEDURE (LMP), GENDER BASED VIOLENCE PREVENTION & MITIGATION ACTION PLAN, INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT PLAN (IPMP) AND SECURITY RISK ASSESSMENT/MANAGEMENT PLAN (SRA/SMP) REPORTS
In accordance with the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act CAP E12 LFN 2004, which makes it mandatory for proponents of all new major development activities to carry out Environmental and Social Impact Assessment on their proposed projects, the Federal Ministry of Environment hereby announces a twenty-one (21) working days Public Notice for information and comments on the above reports.
The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has initiated the preparation of an agro-climatic resilience in semi-arid landscapes (ACRESAL) project with the World Bank. The project is to help Nigeria address critical challenges of regional desertification control and land scape management in northern Nigeria. The proposed project will increase the adoption of climate resilience landscape management practices and enhance livelihood in targeted arid/semi-arid watershed in the Nineteen (19) Northern States including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The Display Centers are:
- State Ministries of Environment in all the Nineteen (19) Northern States in Nigeria and Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB), Abuja.
- Federal Ministry of Environment Field Offices in all the Nineteen (19) Northern States of Nigeria.
- Federal Ministry of Environment, Environment House (Brown Building), Independence Way South, Central Business District, Abuja – F.C.T.
