PUBLIC DISCLOSURE OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (ESIA) FOR THE PROPOSED LAGOS MEDIPARK PROJECT, IKOYI, ETI-OSA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA, LAGOS STATE, NIGERIA BY IASO MEDIPARK LIMITED
IASO Medipark Limited, through a public-private- partnership (PPP) initiative with the Lagos State Government proposed to build a modern medical facility, to be known as Lagos Medipark at Plot 1-9 Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Eti-Osa Government Area.
The proposed development has 140 – bed spaces, diagnostic center, residences and an ancillary building. The project site is the former School of Nursing which has been demolished in preparation for the development of the health care facility. This ESIA is designed to identify and predict impacts of the project on the biophysical, human and socio-economic characteristics of the project environment in line with Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act CAP E12 L.F.N 2004, Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency Edict, Lagos State Ministry of Urban and Regional Planning, AfDB‘s Integrated Safeguards System (ISS), 2023 and such other local, national and international laws relevant to the assessment.
